    Here’s to loosing your mind!

  2. Troye Said,

I “discovered” you through Shannon at Rocks in My Dryer today, and I wanted to share a great snack recipe with you that my boys LOVE. We are not vegan, but we try to eat only foods that God made and eat them as closely to the original form that God made them (as oppossed to the engineered crap that is available today). My rule of thumb is, “would my great grandmother recognize this food on my table?” If so, then I serve it. :) THis is a great source of protein.

    Seed Snack Attack
    1 cup raw pumpkin seeds
1 cup raw sunflower seeds, shelled
2/3 cup raisins (I do half golden and half “regular”)
    2 tbsp tamari

Heat medium skillet over medium heat. Add pumpkin seeds and toast, stirring occasionally until they puff up and turn brown (they may even pop). Remove to a bowl and mix with 1 tbsp tamari. Return skillet to heat and add sunflower seeds. Toast, stirring occasionally until browned. Pour into same bowl and stir in 1 tbsp tamari. Add raisins and stir thouroughly. Pour mixture back into hot skillet, removed from heat source to help dry the tamari and plump the raisins. Store in airtight container.

    Enjoy!
