B Vitamins For Vegans
Is sugar that is found in cereals Vegan or not?
I was reading the ingredients for Chex Rice cereal and it says that is molasses in it. Here are the ingredients:
Rice, Whole Grain Rice, Sugar, Salt, Molasses, Vitamin E (Mixed Tocopherols) and BHT Added to Preserve Freshness. Vitamins and Minerals: Calcium Carbonate, Iron and Zinc (Mineral Nutrients)Vitamin C (Sodium Ascorbate)a B Vitamin (Niacinamide)Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine Hydrochloride)Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin)Vitamin B1 (Thiamin Mononitrate)Vitamin A (Palmitate)a B Vitamin (Folic Acid)Vitamin B12, Vitamin D.
But on the PETA website it says that Chex Rice is Veagn. So basically all BREAKFAST CEREALS HAVE SUGAR IN THEM AND ALL OF THEM ARE VEGAN!!!!
Not the healthiest cereal based on those ingredients, but sugar is NOT an animal by-product! So of course it’s a vegan food item.
