tricky ingredients for vegans to watch out for?

i’ve been a vegan for 3 months now, but sometimes when i’m reading labels i see crazy ingredients that i’ve never heard of, and i don’t always know if they’re vegan or not. What are some common disguised ingredients that i should particularly watch out for? it’d be cool if you could also give me some pointers on some vegan foods that you wouldn’t typically assume to have animal product in.

Some common disguises are gelatin, casein/sodium caseinate, natural flavors, honey, shellac, lactose, whey, rennet, vitamin d3.

And soy does not automatically = vegan, there a lot of soy products out there that contain animal products. Some breads, canned beans, and BBQ sauce may also contain animal products.
