Foods Vegans Avoid

What can Vegans eat? what can’t they eat? And what alternative foods are available?
i’m considering becoming a vegan for moral and health reasons and i’m wondering what exactly can vegans eat/ not eat? i know that meat, fish, eggs and dairy are off limits but i keep hearing about all these other animal products hidden in foods and want to know what to look out for or avoid. Gelatin? Rennin? gluten? are these all even animal products? can vegans eat these? I’m also wondering what alternatives there are for meat, dairy and eggs. and i’m concerned that i’ll be unable to get a healthy amount of protein, calcium and omega 3 in a vegan diet. I’d be grateful for any help and advice, especially from people who are already vegans.
