Foods With Protein For Vegans
Tofu and tempeh?
I have been on a vegan diet for 7 weeks now. I’ve lost the weight I wanted to lose and now want to start packing on some muscle. I’m not looking to get California governor big, but want some tone. I’ve always been a stocky guy so I don’t think it’ll be too hard.
My question is, can I get the protein I need from tofu and tempeh? Will they help me develop muscle? What other vegan friendly foods can I eat to help with protein in-take?

I should also note that my diet consists of fruits for breakfast, and then brown rice and steamed vegetables for lunch and dinner. Sometimes I add beans and mushrooms. And yes, I actually love the food I’m eating, but they won’t give me muscle.
there are also soy protein shakes, soy meat type products, soy milk, peanut butter is also a good source of protein.
