List Of Vegans Famous Vegetarians

was St. Francis a vegetarian?

at this link (http://famousveggie.com/peoplenew.cfm/…) you can see a list of famous vegans/vegetarians. on the list is St. Francis of Assisi. does anyone know where I can find proof of this in the Bible or somewhere else?

May be hard to prove yea or nay. Some other pro-veggie sites say he was, some sites say he wasn’t. Like this one:
