products vegans should avoid
Im newly vegetarian, what foods should I avoid?

Im not vegan, just vegetarian. I know (obviously) to avoid mean, but what has hidden meat product in in? I know Gelatin has it hiding in there, so is there anything else I should look out for?

Beware the following ingredients:
* Suet, dripping and lard – solid fat from kidneys of cattle or sheep
* Rennet – derived from calves’ stomachs and used to harden some cheeses
* E120 – red food colouring made from squashed insects

Also be wary of certain brands of wine. Many are ‘clarified’ using blood, bone marrow or fish swimbladders.
