Protein Sources Vegans

I need ideas of protein sources I can keep out of the fridge for a couple hours or take on the go PLEASE?
I want to slowly go into a vagan diet other then the one steak a week I need to consume. (the steak is a must due to a rare blood disorder I have- I met a Dr with the same condition and he maintains his levels with a 12 ounce steak once a week) other then that Id like to eat vegan but Im weight training and need a high protein diet
Hi Jess,
You can have a protein source out of the fridge and still keep it cold for a while.
There are many sizes of moldable cold compresses or gel packs. (Like you use for an injury.) Put it in the freezer, they remain pliable. If the protein is small, then wrap it around the protein. You can always wrap the ice pack and protein into aluminum foil to further extend the time it can remain out. Sorry, I am not a veggie so if aluminum foil is not politically correct, I apologize.
There are also many sizes of gel packs enclosed in hard plastic.
In Canada, I go to Canadian Tire (a hardware, camping, auto parts store.) But an outdoor/camping store will have these, a hardware store too, maybe a sporting goods store.
