Conflicting passages in bible about eating meat? vegetarianism/veganism/?

Genesis 1:29 says that god gave us plants and fruits to eat

If you try to base your decisions off the Bible, you’ll probably end up confused. There’s certainly conflicting passages in there.
What feels right to you? Do you think killing animals for food is ethically right/natural or not? I know vegan/vegetarian Christians, but I also know many omnivores.

Personally I think we developed as omnivores, but that tehre is not a necessity for an omnivorous diet in modern-day society, with the ease of obtaining different foods, supplements, etcetera.
