Vegans Choice
Question for Pro-Choice Vegetarians/ Vegans ONLY!?
I’m trying to understand how vegan/vegetarians can be adimately against the killing of animals, but can support a woman’s right to choose… I know that there are inherent biases within my question (such as somewhat considering abortion killing), but I am really interested in the personal ethical, moral, and philosophical bases which people may have.
*As a side note- I don’t mean this question in an attacking way- I am definately pro-choice and have a ton of friends that are vegetarian (I don’t choose to be vegetarian, but can understand why people do).
Also, if you have suggestions on how to improve this question or if it is vague, I will update the question.

This is a very good question. I am both vegetarian and pro-choice and so is my wife. While we believe that abortion is wrong, we also believe in freedom of women to choose what to do with there own bodies. The same goes for being vegetarian we believe killing animals for meat is wrong, but we don’t have the right to tell others not to eat meat. People need to have the freedom to make there own decisions.
It’s not easy being vegan and eating meat (at the same time).
