Are vegans allowed to eat yeast?

I heard that yeast wasn’t allowed by some, but I thought it was just a fungas or something. I already avoid sugar with bone char and avoid honey and everything but dont understand whats wrong with yeast. I dont know if I can give it up or not- I’m sixteen and my parents are already having a tough time

Yeast is fungus, and fungus is okay for vegans to eat. Fungus includes mushrooms, and mushrooms are widely accepted. Vegans can’t eat anything in the animal kingdom or comes from something in the animal kingdom. You are free to eat yeast. Yum.
