I told my FACS teacher I don’t drink milk, and what she said is kind of scary…?

Alright so in FACS(Family And Consumer Science) we were talking about the food pyramid. My teacher was really stressing about how important it its to drink milk, and when I told her that I drink Almond milk instead of cows milk, she freaked out. She said that I was going to get osteoporosis at a young age and that my bones can break very easily and I won’t reproduce correctly. This isn’t true, is it? I’m trying to go vegan, and she told me that it “worries her” that I don’t/won’t eat a lot/any of dairy…So is what she said true? I hope not…Please help!

I’d really like your “teacher” to provide you with the clinical evidence that humans MUST consume bovine manufactured milk/milk products.

You might want to ask her WHY the female of the human species LACTATES, as most mammals do for their young. You might also point out the percentage of people that have been born with LACTOSE INTOLERANCE. So, shoot her a question: Why don’t more women breast feed their children?????

Breast milk from mother’s contain huge amounts of naturally occurring “lactoimmunonutria”, which helps develop a strong immune system.

“Milk” from cows, goats, sheep, etc. is meant for THE OFFSPRING OF THAT PARTICULAR ANIMAL. From where did she acquire these ‘wives’s tales’ so called facts??

“Milk” is actually colostrum, which is the mucosal discharge from a pregnancy induced stenotic sebaceous gland.

You have my permission to bring this and show her. BTW, I have a Master’s Degree in Nursing Science, am a practicing Registered Nurse Practitioner and Physician’s Assistant.
