Vegans High Cholesterol

Cholesterol question: Was vegan – now back to eating meat?
I’ve been vegan for over a year. The last time I had my cholesterol checked was two years before going vegan – it was in the normal healthy range. I had my cholesterol checked again recently, but 3 weeks before hand I had started to include meat & cheese into my diet in small amounts. My cholesterol was 235! Has anyone else had this happen. I figure the entire time I was vegan, my cholesterol had to have been better than when I was a meat eater in the past (although I didn’t have it check during my vegan year). Is it possible that my body/liver freaked out at the sudden influx of cholesterol and in turn spiked it really high… ?
Yes, it is certainly possible. Try going vegan again and having your cholesterol checked in about 3 months.
