Do you think people Who Are Vegans/ Vegetarians for animals rights are naive?

I understand if you want to be a vegetarian for health reasons but for animals? a lot of animals die during harvest and what about plants? they’re living beings?

So what your saying is, if you can’t do it all, why even bother? Being veg*n is about reducing your impact on the suffering of others. No one is naive in the fact that animals are going to die no matter what we do. I prefer even a slight act of compassion, than throwing up my hands and doing nothing. That would be like saying, don’t work with at risk youth, as some will fall through the cracks anyway. Or don’t adopt from a shelter b/c no matter what, shelter dogs will be euthanized.

Also, since most harvested crops go to feed slaughter animals, those who eat meat are not only killing the slaughter animals, but also the ones killed during harvesting. See how it is all about reducing suffering?

The plant argument is old. It is about reducing the suffering of sentient being, it has nothing to do with eating living things. Plants feel no pain(they lack a central nervous system).
