Why is there so much negativity in the V&V section?

Does anyone know why people are so negative and hateful in the V&V section? I just think all this negativity is not serving anyone. It doesn’t represent what the vegetarian/vegan lifestyle is all about. I am a caring person who loves animals and I want to live a cruelty-free lifestyle. It really bothers me when I see vegans attacking others simply because they believe different than you. What we eat is a personal choice and we should respect others who eat differently than us.

caroline, it is not me who says those things. It is someone who has created a replica account. I am the type of person who tries to find something positive about situation. I am not a negative person.
rooketho, I understand you are frustrated, but hate is not the answer. I would like to extend my friendship to you and I would like to extend the same back to me in return. We have to learn to love one another and live in peace and harmony on this planet.

I guess it doesn’t help when you get some vegans (and that is a minority) who are very hateful towards those who eat meat as part of a balanced diet. What really sickens me, is some people (like myself) believe that some meat is okay to consume. I would never eat factory farmed meat. All the meat I buy is free range, local and organic (I am lucky to live in a rural area). Therefore the animals are treated as humanely as possible. I even take meat from the wild when I get the opportunity. Most days I am meat free, I enjoy cooking and eating. Sadly, I have shared some of my vegan and vegetarian recipes on here only to have some vegans to have an attack on my views. I am all for constructive critics of my lifestyle, but some people (not mentioning any names Ashley) really are very hateful!

EDIT: Ashley, if people click onto your profile, then look at the questions you ask, they can see for themselves how spiteful and hateful you can be. And how unable you are to hold an intelligent level of debate. A good debater would try to persuade people to come to their way of thinking. All you do is put people off even looking into a vegan diet, let alone become a vegan!
