Vegans Stink

my feet sweat a lot and stink…?
what do I do. I would rather have a permanent fix like a diet change, not add powder everyday. I’m vegan so please constrict your answers to account for that.
I’m sure that your situation has to be frustrating. It is possible you may have athlete’s foot and not aware of it or you could have a condition called hyperhidrosis. It’s extreme sweating of the hands, armpits or feet, and it is treatable. If the sweat stays on the skin too long, it can contribute to the growth of bacteria and the breakdown of skin chemicals. This bad smelling sweat is called bromhidrosis. If the home remedies don’t work for you – then make an appointment. Only a doctor can evaluate you for hyperhidrosis and prescribe treatment for it.
After you wash your feet, use a good quality foot powder. Even though it’s not your favorite thing – it helps to keep your feet dry. Use an antibacterial soap. At home & where ever possible, wear sandals to let your feet breath. Rotate your shoes and don’t wear the same ones 2 days in a row. Soaking your feet in black tea, has helped a lot of people with this problem. It contains the astringent tannic acid. In addition, people have soaked their feet in vinegar, used anti-perspirant and also applied Isopropyl alcohol to their feet and in-between toes, after showering. All of these are home remedies, but the black tea has been the most successful and even cured some people of this condition.
As far as changing your diet, some say adding zinc is beneficial. I would discuss that with a physician before hand. Change of diet may not help, especially since you’re unsure exactly what’s causing this condition. Sweaty/smelly feet is also a sign of diabetes. If all else fails, I would get checked out. I hope this helps you. Below are some links on home remedies and additional information you might find helpful. good luck!
