Weight Watchers Vegans
I’ve been a vegan for five months, and for some reason I’m gaining weight all of the sudden, why?
I’ve been a vegetarian for two years and a vegan for five months. I’m fifteen and about 5’1″. I used to weight about 118, but all of the sudden I started gaining weight. The weird thing is, I’ve actually started eating healthier. I cut my calorie consumption down from about 1700 to somewhere around 1300 (which is enough for me to feel satisfied, and energized). I get all the protein, calcium, & B Vitamins I need.
I understand that veganism is not weight watchers, but this doesn’t make sense to me. Could I have some kind of thyroid problem?
